As a critical member of Clemson University’s nationally recognized Center for Career and Professional Development team, the Assistant Director of Career Development will empower students to successfully pursue their educational and professional goals.

In this role, you will:
- COUNSEL: Provide comprehensive career counseling, workshops, and programming to assist students with career decision-making, developing career plans, interpreting career inventories, and enhancing career competencies through experiential learning.
- GUIDE: Assist students in navigating the internship and job search process, refine professional documents and practice interviewing techniques.
- MENTOR: Hire, train and manage the CCPD Career Ambassador Program, Graduate Students and Interns.
- CONNECT: Increase the CCPD’s visibility and support students through Outreach programming and development. Connect students to CCPD resources and Employers.
- COLLABORATE: Maintain and develop relationships with Campus Partners in Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty and Staff.

- Communicate effectively verbally, in written documentation and in interpersonal interactions.
- Effectively and efficiently meet the needs of customers through high-quality service.
- Work cooperatively with others to achieve organizational goals.
- Lead, develop and encourage students who work or volunteer for the CCPD.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience: 1-3 year(s) in Student Services
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Experience in student services programs and 1 year of coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Student Affairs
Preferred Experience: Experience in Student Services Programming
Preferred Licenses & Certifications: NCC and/or LPC, CDF or CCSP
