In this role, you will:

  • COUNSEL: Provide comprehensive career counseling, workshops, and programming to assist students with career decision-making, developing career plans, interpreting career inventories, and enhancing career competencies through experiential learning.
  • GUIDE: Assist students in navigating the internship and job search process, refine professional documents and practice interviewing techniques.
  • MENTOR: Hire, train and manage the CCPD Career Ambassador Program, Graduate Students and Interns.
  • CONNECT: Increase the CCPD’s visibility and support students through Outreach programming and development. Connect students to CCPD resources and Employers.
  • COLLABORATE: Maintain and develop relationships with Campus Partners in Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty and Staff.

  • Communicate effectively verbally, in written documentation and in interpersonal interactions.
  • Effectively and efficiently meet the needs of customers through high-quality service.
  • Work cooperatively with others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead, develop and encourage students who work or volunteer for the CCPD.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience: 1-3 year(s) in Student Services

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Experience in student services programs and 1 year of coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Counseling or Student Affairs

Preferred Experience: Experience in Student Services Programming

Preferred Licenses & Certifications: NCC and/or LPC, CDF or CCSP

Work Schedule: Standard Hours 37.5 (Some evening and weekend work required)
